To Whom It May Concern:

If you’re looking for a community-specific form of advertising, then place an advertisement in our Coronado Explorer newspaper or online at www.coronadoexplorer.com. Since Coronado High School’s inception in 1961, local businesses have advertised in this publication. By advertising with us, you advertise to a target group and support the community where you do business.

Print ad benefits include:

• Direct contact with over 2,000+ potential community patrons including students, parents, and south Scottsdale businesses that distribute each issue
• Each issue will be published on the www.coronadoexplorer.com website; nearly 16,000 people have already visited the site as of October this year
• Each issue will be published on Coronado High School’s official website
• Support of our newspaper, a publication produced by students and for the Coronado community

Beyond the financial incentives, creating a business ad is easy. You can use an existing ad from your business, get assistance from the journalism staff, or we can lay the ad out for you. Upon newspaper publication, we will send you a copy of the final product to review and display in your business. For ad rates and production schedules, see the flip side of this letter.

Making a Business Ad

• Design it! While you’re thinking of what your ad will look like, think about the size of the ad space. To help get you started, look at ads in local newspapers to give you layout and content ideas. Then, compose and proofread your message, gather together your favorite photos and lay out your final product. Or if you want, simply hand, mail, or e-mail us an existing ad and we’ll scan it in. If you want a web page and/or ad designed, we can also do that.
• Send it! You have one of three options:
• Hand ad content to the newspaper staff member if you are planning a visit
• Mail an envelope with your message, photos, overall layout, and payment to the following address:

• E-mail all Microsoft Word, JPEG pictures, and PDF documents to wgerchick@susd.org
• Approve it! We will lay out the ad on our publication program and mail you a copy of the finished product.
• Enjoy it! Enjoy the ad, and thank you again for your support.

• Please pay the full amount for your ad and provide us with content by each issue’s “advertiser deadline.”

Ad spaces will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.
