Welcome to CoronadoExplorer.com!
The Coronado Explorer journalism staff is looking to live its credo, “for the Coronado High School community,” online as well as in print. As of Monday, January 26th 2009 the Coronado Explorer launched the “beta version” or “rough draft” of www.coronadoexplorer.com.
Now we’re asking for your feedback.
As students, as alumni, as parents, as administrators, as teachers, as staff, as local business owners and as Coronado community members, it’s hard to stay close to each other. Life is busy. However, the 21st century notion of “community” is less constrained by physical geography; modern technology allows us to build communities in all spaces, physical and otherwise. While Coronado’s “Fusion” site is a wonderful informative tool, CoronadoExplorer.com is created by students and is meant to promote more community interaction. Our staff intends to use internet, web page building, photography, sound clips, video, gaming, language translation tools and more resources to make the site-in-progress informative, user-friendly, ethical, interactive, meaningful, and fun.
Please surf the site and click on each page’s “Page Feedback” link located at the bottom. You may notice that this site is thin on content and structure. We’re working on that. To help us improve, surf and give constructive feedback about each page’s design, coverage, and user interactivity. Before beginning, read the descriptions of each site page below. In the words of Kurt Vonnegut, “so it goes…”
